Responsibilities
- Repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems in assigned area/department.
-Must be available to work on all shifts, as required.
-Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools
-Maintain parts and tools inventory
-Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
-Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
-Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
-Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
-Technical training or previous experience required
- Develops a working knowledge of all machines in assigned area/department.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Adjusts process lines to accommodate type of product being run. Sets-up conveyors and finishers, and changes piping.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machinery as defined in work order.
-Uses machine schematics and troubleshooting guides to assist in problem solving.
- Performs calibration of process monitoring equipment as required.
- Completes paperwork as required.
- Reports any Food Quality or Food Safety issues to the Supervisor immediately.
Requirements
· Pay range will be determined by skill and experience.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate and understand information one-on-one and in small groups. English required.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to make routine decisions.
· High School Diploma or GED
